Terms of Service for RafflChain

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using RafflChain (“the Application”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Application.

2. Eligibility

To participate in RafflChain raffles, users must:

• Own a decentralized wallet (such as Metamask or other compatible blockchain wallets).
• Purchase a raffle ticket through the Application, which will automatically make them a participant in the raffle.

RafflChain does not impose any age requirements, nor do we have the ability to verify or control user age due to the decentralized nature of blockchain technology. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that they are complying with the laws of their jurisdiction regarding the legality of participating in raffles or similar activities.

3. Decentralized Nature

The Application operates in a decentralized manner on a blockchain network, meaning it is not controlled by any single entity, including the developers. The random selection process and prize distribution are automated and governed by smart contracts, which operate independently once deployed.

4. Blockchain Transactions

All transactions within the Application occur on a blockchain network. By participating, you acknowledge and accept that:

• Blockchain transactions are immutable and cannot be reversed.
• You are solely responsible for safeguarding your wallet, including any private keys or seed phrases.
• RafflChain is not liable for any loss of funds or security breaches resulting from the mishandling of your wallet.

5. Entry Fees and Raffle Participation

To enter a raffle, you must purchase a ticket by transferring the required entry fee to the specified smart contract. Once your transaction is confirmed, you will automatically become a participant in the raffle.

• ERC20 Tokens: RafflChain only accepts ERC20 tokens for raffle participation. The specific ERC20 token used may vary from raffle to raffle, but this will always be clearly announced and visible during the transaction process.
• Before purchasing a ticket, participants must approve the use of ERC20 tokens in the smart contract. This approval allows the smart contract to handle the necessary token transfers.
• Entry fees are non-refundable.
• Each raffle will have a clearly defined closing time, after which no additional entries will be accepted.

Token Distribution

For each raffle ticket purchased, the ERC20 tokens you contribute will be distributed as follows:

• 50% of the tokens go to the prize pool.
• 45% of the tokens go to charity.
• 5% of the tokens are retained as a commission to finance the deployment of the next smart contract.

For example, if you purchase a raffle ticket with 10 ERC20 tokens:

• 5 tokens will go to the prize pool.
• 4.5 tokens will go to charity.
• 0.5 tokens will be used as the commission to fund the next raffle’s smart contract deployment.

By participating in RafflChain, you support charitable initiatives and contribute to maintaining the decentralized raffle platform.

6. Charitable Contributions

RafflChain works with a charity manager to ensure that the charitable portion of the raffle is transferred to a designated charity. Currently, we use The Giving Block (thegivingblock.com) as our charity partner, but this may change in the future.

We do not guarantee that the charity receives the tokens, but our charity partner is responsible for transferring the funds to the charity. Once the ERC20 tokens are transferred to the charity partner, RafflChain has no further power of action or responsibility regarding how the tokens are managed or used by either the charity manager or the charity itself.

Participants in RafflChain raffles acknowledge and accept that their contributions will go to the charity chosen by the platform for that month. The selected charity changes monthly, and the decision is made by the RafflChain team at the beginning of each month. The selected charity will be announced on our website.

RafflChain does not have any ownership or preferred relationship with the charities. If you would like to suggest a charity for consideration, please contact us at info@rafflchain.com with relevant details about the charity.

Please note that RafflChain does not convert ERC20 tokens into cash for the charity. The ERC20 tokens are transferred directly to the charity manager, and we are not responsible for how the charity manager or the charity handles the tokens, including but not limited to their security or the potential loss of their wallet.

7. Prize Distribution

Raffle prizes will be distributed to the winner(s) directly via smart contracts to the wallet address that entered the raffle.

• Prizes will be transferred within five (5) days after the conclusion of the raffle.
• The smart contract directly transfers the tokens to the participant and the charity, and RafflChain never manually receives or transfers the funds.
• The winner’s name or wallet address/ENS may be published on the RafflChain website, and we may also send an email notification to all subscribers with details of the winner's wallet address or ENS, the prize amount won, and the amount donated to charity.
• RafflChain does not manage or hold funds; all funds and prizes are handled by the blockchain network’s smart contracts.

8. No Warranties

RafflChain is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

• We do not warrant that the Application will always be available.
• We do not warrant that the information provided through the Application is complete, accurate, or up-to-date.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall RafflChain, its developers, or affiliated parties be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Application. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Transaction errors or failures.
• Loss of funds due to security breaches or errors in the user’s wallet.
• Technical failures of the blockchain network or smart contracts.
• Regulatory actions or legal issues based on the jurisdiction of the user.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Application for any illegal activities, including fraud or money laundering.
• Attempt to manipulate the raffle system or smart contracts for personal gain.
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Application, including hacking, spamming, or attempting to disrupt the functionality of the blockchain network.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany for any disputes arising out of your use of the Application or these Terms.

12. Changes to the Terms

RafflChain reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the Application, and it is your responsibility to review them periodically. Continued use of the Application after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Termination

RafflChain may terminate or suspend access to the Application at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you will no longer have access to the Application.
